Trichinopoly Pinjrapole

Trichinopoly Pinjrapole

GoShala or GauShala, a Sanskrit word, means the adobe or sancturay for the cows and its progeny as calves and oxen. (In Sanskrit, Go or Gau means Cow, Shala means a sanctuary).

The Trichinopoly Pinjrapole (or Gaushala) is the sanctuary or the abode for old, sick, abandoned and stray animals, especially cows and its progeny.

The Trichinopoly Pinjrapole is run in the city of Trichy (located in the South Indian state of Tamil Nadu) and an effort to care for these kind, innocent, gentle and lovely animals, that today are the victims.

Currently we have 206* animals - including cows giving milk(25) , dry cows(86), bulls(19), He-calf(27) , she-calf(48) and buffaloes(1)

Faciliites

  • First Aid for Sick injured Stray cow and its progeny
  • Cattle Health check-up & Vaccination Camps, Cattle Rescue
  • Clean water and enviorment
  • feed them and give medical treatment

Goals

  • To rescue stray, abandoned, and neglected cows, bring about their recovery as healthy, well-treated companions, and to promote such care and compassion.
  • Expanding our enterprise. In both aspects of our goals, premier cow protection, milk production, utilization of cow power (gober methane gas), self-sufficiency, and to be an inspiration to all good-natured souls are what we strive for.
  • To provide the best possible care and attention given to cows prior to being taken to a shelter home and veterinary centre.
WHICH ANIMALS DO WE RESCUE AND WHY??

We save animals from slaughter houses and there are many people over here who care for them i.e. by donating and feeding these animals whenever they like and thus this has become a big trust..Most of the animals here are rescued from slaughter houses where these animals are treated like hell...Some of the images of how the animals are treated in slaughter houses are given below:-

These images are taken from http://goraksha.org.in and more images can be seen at http://www.jivdaya.net/photo_gallery.php

My views on why these animals should be saved from these guys who are spreading inhumanity over the world just for the sake of taste and some articles like leather are:-
  • Animals are not ours to eat
  • Animals are not ours to wear,
  • Animals are not ours to experiment on.
  • Animals are not ours to use for entertainment.
Thus help us in developing our efforts towards this society which is run be eminent hands by donating..For more information on its donation contact the address below!! or donate through Paypal

Cow Plea,Is Nothing Sacred?

Mahatma Gandhi believed that a nation could be judged by the way it treats its animals. If that yardstick were applied to his own country today, India would be in the doghouse. Hindus venerate many of God's creatures, and the cow is considered especially sacred. But the international animal-rights group People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals (PETA) has exposed horrendous cruelty to India's cows as they are transported, illegally, to slaughter houses. Many arrive dead or badly injured after long and torturous journeys in trains and trucks or on foot. "It is Dante's Inferno for cows and bullocks," says PETA president Ingrid Newkirk.

The Importance of the Cow and Bull

The people of our times have forgotten that the Cow is the most important animal for human society. The Bull is the emblem of Dharma and cow is the representative of the Earth. When the Bull and Cow are in a joyful mood, it is to be understood that the people of the world will also be in a joyful mood. The reason is that the Bull helps in production of grains in the agricultural field, and the Cow delivers milk, the miracle food which can be further converted into curd, yogurt, butter and ghee. Milking a Cow means drawing the principle of religion in liquid form. Cow’s milk is so pure that it is considered liquid religiosity. So in scriptures Cow is considered to one of our MOTHERS. The Cows give milk and the Bull gives grains through tilling the land, they are considered the MOTHER and the FATHER of human society. Both the Cow and Bull are symbols of the most offenceless living beings because even their dung and urine are of IMMENSE VALUE (medicinal, fuel, etc.) to human society. http://www.goraksha.org.in/cowplea.html
